The basic search function searches an index of the four main content fields together: title, author, description and keywords. The advanced search allows you to search within a specific field, e.g. the title only. If you enter more than one word (in either basic or advanced search), the results will include records containing all the words (an AND search). To search for an exact phrase, type two or more words in quotation marks, e.g. "ankle surgery". To search for any of the words you enter (an OR search), select the link for More results (OR search) which is available after an AND search.
